Went to see Tantallon Castle and took the X-T1, not the best day as clouds where a bit heavy. Still got some good results though and tried out the new Tripod with the 70-210mm Miranda.

Not had much chance to get out with new zoom lens but got a few shots of birds feeding in back garden. Good results considering no image stabilisation and hand held.
I visited the Kelvingrove in Glasgow at the weekend and took some shots with my Galaxy S7.
Still amazed how good this camera phone is indoors in low light situations. These have been tweaked in Luminar but not really much work required. I picked up an old manual focus 70-210mm zoom lens on eBay for my Fuiji. I have an adaptor that allows me to use any Pentax PK fit lens. Great way to to save money on lenses you don't use as much, plus these old lenses are better made as mostly metal and made in Japan not China.
Decided to get a new ball-head tripod/monopod to use with Fuji.
Great build quality and small size when closed, easy to put in backpack. Easy to convert to a monopod by simply unscrewing a few pieces and joining together. Check out on Amazon for more details or to purchase. www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01FVW235G/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Thought I would try out these FREE plug-ins from Google, they work with Photoshop or Lightroom up to verison 2015.
The whole colllection includes: Analog Efex Pro 2 Silver Efex Pro 2 Dfine 2 Color Efex Pro 4 Viveza 2 Sharpener Pro 3 Here is the link to downloaded the complete collection for Mac or Windows. https://www.google.com/nikcollection Here are some samples using the Analog Efex and Silver Efex plug-ins from Lightroom. |
