Was trying out another great free painting app called Painter on my iPad Pro.
Sort of Jackson Pollock but was basically just trying lots of different brushes, layering and blending options.

My latest project is now live and features a range of unique handmade Turkish Gourd Lamps. They are pretty amazing when lit at night and I liked them so much I bought the one pictured below! Check out the website at grateandgourd.co.uk
I recently got myself an iPad Pro 10.5" to create some digital drawing/painting and for music production. Here is my first painting using a free app called Sketches, I used the Apple Pencil which is just superb for creating natural drawing techniques.
I'm waiting for the new version of Procreate to come out as this is the best drawing/painting app for iPad Pro. Today's abstract painting on A2 canvas. I masked off the middle band and did the background with brushes. Then re-masked and used palette knife to create the band with a touch of metallic paint so there is a gloss sheen when catches the light. Finished with white splatter effect.
Happy with the way it turned out. Created this today on 40x40cm box canvas. 3 brushes and palette knife used.
I blended background and let that dry then built up tree from light to dark colours, finishing off with tree trunk and falling leaves. Pleased with how this turned out. Another trio of abstracts using different techniques including palette knife, brushes, stencils, scrapers and metallic paint. Definitely improving in my opinion!
I created this canvas (40x40cm) as a birthday gift using a palette knife and 2" brush for blending.
Definitely getting a bit better at this acrylic painting malarky! Comments always welcome regarding my progress. I did some more acrylic painting this week and created 2 30x30cm box frame canvases.
Different techniques for both, the purple painting was made with just brushes where the other is palette knife and brushes. You can see the difference with the more textured effect of knife work. This is my first painting on canvas (40x40cm) and was great trying out different techniques.
I used a combination of palette knife, flat wash brush and splatter brush. I thought I would try my hand at some acrylic painting after getting interested watching some guys on YouTube. This is my first attempt on A4 240gsm acrylic paper created using just a palette knife. Here are some links if you are interested in trying this out yourself.
