My table layout at the NB Artisan Fair on Saturday 21 July. Sold a few mounted prints but footfall was low for July and not many tourists around.
I have created a new Facebook page for my Photography work at www.facebook.com/davidthomphotography
I will be posting information about upcoming events and a selection of new images from my monthly portfolios. Make sure to Like or Follow this new page.

I have created new A7 card designs for both David Thom Design and David Thom Photography.
As you can see I've also used these geometric designs as the headers for my website.
I'm happy with the way these have turned out after much faffing with different coloured designs!
The grey/blue/greens of DTP reflect the landscape photography that I mainly create.
For DTD I wanted a multi-coloured design to have a definite difference between the two.
Tried a new technique for long exposure effect, I took 20 shots hand-held on continuous shooting mode and exported to PS as layers from LR. You then 'auto align layers' then convert to 'smart object' then 'stack mode' images using 'mean' mode. The results are pretty good and easier than using ND filters.
As you can see the water has smoother out, the more shots you take the smoother the effect. This is equivalent to about 3 sec exposure. The sculpture is called 'Still" by Rob Mulholland.
Went to see Tantallon Castle and took the X-T1, not the best day as clouds where a bit heavy. Still got some good results though and tried out the new Tripod with the 70-210mm Miranda.
Not had much chance to get out with new zoom lens but got a few shots of birds feeding in back garden. Good results considering no image stabilisation and hand held.
I visited the Kelvingrove in Glasgow at the weekend and took some shots with my Galaxy S7.
Still amazed how good this camera phone is indoors in low light situations. These have been tweaked in Luminar but not really much work required.
